Pinehaven Presbyterian Church follows a Presbyterian, or representative, church government structure consisting of the Session (our pastor and the Ruling Elders), the Diaconate, and the Presbytery.
Session
The officers of the church are elders, elected by the congregation. Together, the pastor and the elders are called the Session. They are responsible for teaching, preaching, and spiritual growth of the church.

Presbytery & General Assembly
The pastors and representatives of local PCA churches in a given region form a “Presbytery.” Pinehaven Presbyterian Church is a member of the Mississippi Valley Presbytery. Each year, leaders of the Presbytery meet at “General Assembly.” The General Assembly Committees and Agencies help member churches combine their efforts and resources more effectively to accomplish the work of God’s Kingdom.
“Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.” Hebrews 13:7
