join OUR CHURCH
Nothing brings us more joy than welcoming a new member into our church congregation! If you prayerfully believe the Lord may be calling you to join Pinehaven Presbyterian Church as a member, please call us at 601 708 4653 or email office@pinehavenpres.org.
As believers in Christ, there’s a reason why joining a church is vital to our lives: Scripture consistently portrays God’s people living in relationship with Him and one another. Whether you’re new to Pinehaven Presbyterian Church, or have been visiting for a long time, we encourage you to consider membership.
Before joining, prospective members will meet with the Session. These meetings provide the opportunity to ask questions, hear from different congregational leaders, and learn more about our church’s beliefs, our membership vows, and their practical implications for those who join.
membership vows
Do you acknowledge yourselves to be sinners in the sight of God, justly deserving His displeasure, and without hope save in His sovereign mercy?
Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and Savior of sinners, and do you receive and rest upon Him alone for salvation as He is offered in the Gospel?
Do you now resolve and promise, in humble reliance upon the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you will endeavor to live as becomes the followers of Christ?
Do you promise to support the Church in its worship and work to the best of your ability?
Do you submit yourself to the government and discipline of the Church, and promise to study its purity and peace?
